Grog Speaks

Miscellaneous ramblings by an amused observer of life in our times. I'm not certain anyone reads this, and I think I prefer it that way.

What's that noise?

Have I mentioned that I sing when I kayak early in the morning? No, I don't think so. I only have a repertoire of a handful of songs, all chosen because they more or less fit my range. The list currently includes:

I'm Just a Gigolo (David Lee Roth)
Moonbeam (Harry Nilsson)
Chantille Lace (Big Bopper)
I Saw Her Standing There (the Beatles)
The House of the Rising Sun (The Animals)
Banana Boat Song, aka Day-O (Harry Belafonte)
Tangled Up in You (Staind)
Me and My Arrow (Harry Nilsson)

I don't usually sing them loudly enough to disturb the sleep of the neighbors unless they are outside and close to shore, and I don't necessarily sing them very well or completely. I add songs as they come to me, and I learn the words pretty well.

I don't know why I decided to sing when I kayak. I don't sing anywhere else, and I don't like to entertain people with my singing. I'll keep doing it as long as no one complains.

Prognostication

I have a feeling that there will soon be a very major natural disaster somewhere along the Pacific Rim. Too many earthquakes are happening and they seem to be getting increasingly severe. Maybe I'm just hearing about them more, but I thought I'd make this prediction and see if I'm right. I think it will be in the next couple years.
If I'm right it doesn't mean I'm the next Nostradamus.
